Pectus Excavatum – Causes & Diagnostic


Pectus Excavatum is a condition in which a person breastbone bend inward, and in some of the cases cause breathing problems.

What are the causes of Pectus Excavatum?

No one know for sure what is the cause of it, but we do know that 37% of people who has it also have at least one first-degree person in the family that also have it.

Pectus Excavatum diagnostic:

Pectus excavatum is diagnosed mostly by visual check, but there are other tests that can be done, like: Auscultation, Pulmonary function test, CT scan, x-ray scan.
